This shoot was inspired by my home in Texas and the strong Texas women in my life. Growing up, visiting my family in East Texas was a constant highlight. I loved the feel of having a strong Texas background and am still proud to live in one of the greatest states.

When looking for a model, I wanted someone who was comfortable around livestock, was tough and strong, but also feminine and beautiful. Basically a model who embodied the women in my life. After searching and searching, I realized that no one would be able to live up to what I envisioned, except for my actual family. This is how my cousin Macy ended up as my model and man was she perfect!

We actually shot the entire editorial at her ranch and her parent’s farm about 5 minutes away. I absolutely loved being able to showcase somewhere so close to my heart. We were so lucky to have found an incredible local makeup/hair artist that shared my vision and was just as excited about this shoot as I was.
